Finally decided to visit this place after seeing endless photos of their bento boxes on my feed. I made a reservation for lunch on mothers day at 12:00 which is when they open, and I arrived around 5 minutes late. The lady told me they only had 2-3 boxes left (they make 15max for lunch + dinner) so definitely come either right at opening or only a couple minuntes late if thats what you wanna get! Service was friendly, and the interior is very aesthetically pleasing, they have a traditional seating area which has lots of natural light and a beautiful bar. Food wise everything was well made but nothing out of the world.
Sho Ka Do Bento ($27) seasonal ingredients may be different when you visit, comes with rice + miso soup
Great for the insta and trying a little bit of everything but I honestly wouldn’t order this again, the items in it are good but I’d rather get a larger portion of something that is more substantial. This is good if you like having little small things to go with your rice, like my mom who really enjoyed this. Miso soup was too salty.
Triple Cutlet Teishoku ($22/single) 100% wagyu meat cutlet, pork cutlet, black tiger prawn cutlet layered in chopped shrimp
Loved the tiger prawn in this, super crispy with bouncy shrimp on the inside. Pork quality was just average but again very nicely fried, and unfortunately I didn’t try the wagyu but I’m guessing it was delicious as well.
Deluxe Seafood Bowl ($34) comes with miso soup
Beautiful presentation and lot’s of fresh sashimi, the sushi rice underneath was also very nicely seasoned. Miso soup was again too salty.
